![]() ![]() November 1, 2000. Fashion is a changing pattern that can be tracked in many things: television, movies, and music, all portray fashion of their specified time. For example, I am currently watching The Hunter where Robert DeNiro won his first Academy Award. The movie also featured Christopher Walken, which I believe was his second film after Anne Hall (Woody Allen classic). Everyone in this movie has bushy hair compared to today's hair dos which all remind me of George Cloony. Television fashion is most popularly portrayed and recognized by the old M.T.V. reruns of their eighties shows. Big long hair and with ripped jeans and overly exaggerated jewelry, especially necklaces. Music? The two words, fashion and music instantly put one person in my mind. He portrays the mid seventies transition from old school rock and roll to the new eights metal, the transition was called the disco era. As part of the beginning of the disco era, glam-rock was the hottest scene. The man who I am climaxing this journal entry to is A man who I admired during my middle school years, his name is David Bowie. He was the top of the world during the glam-rock scene and I believe he portrayed the fashion scene perfectly. To add to that he also is portraying current fashion by dressing like many of the current turn of the century heavy-metal rock artists. | Journal Entries September 7, 2000 September 12, 2000 September 15, 2000 September 19, 2000 September 21, 2000 September 23, 2000 September 26, 2000 September 27, 2000 September 28, 2000 September 29, 2000 September 30, 2000 October 2, 2000 October 3, 2000 October 4, 2000 October 5, 2000 October 7, 2000 October 8, 2000 October 9, 2000 October 10, 2000 October 11, 2000 October 12, 2000 October 13, 2000 October 15, 2000 October 17, 2000 October 18, 2000 October 20, 2000 October 21, 2000 October 24, 2000 October 25, 2000 October 26, 2000 October 27, 2000 October 28, 2000 October 29, 2000 October 31, 2000 November 1, 2000 November 2, 2000 November 4, 2000 November 7, 2000 November 9, 2000 November 10, 2000 November 12, 2000 November 13, 2000 November 14, 2000 November 16, 2000 November 17, 2000 November 18, 2000 November 21, 2000 November 22, 2000 November 23, 2000 November 24, 2000 November 27, 2000 November 28, 2000 November 29, 2000 |
